Membership Eligibility & Criteria

Eligibility for Membership

  • Only citizens of Bangladesh by birth or by naturalization shall be eligible for membership.
  • The Governing Council shall be the sole authority to invite applications for membership.
  • Any person or representative of an organization, institution or association professionally or otherwise concerned with the advancement, development, preservation and research of folk arts and handicrafts of Bangladesh.
  • A candidate shall be deemed to be a member only if he is accepted by the Governing Council through the scrutiny of the Standing Executive Committee for membership.

Membership Fees

  • Regular Members (Artisans): Tk. 250 per year
  • Associate Members (Individual): Tk. 600 per year
  • Associate Members (Organizational): Tk. 5000  per year
  • Registration Fees for Individual & Organizational Members TK. 1000

Types of Membership

Any Bangladeshi by birth or by naturalization who is professionally or otherwise involved in the promotion, development, preservation and research of folk arts and handicrafts shall be eligible for membership subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.

Any representative of a voluntary organization, association or institution who is involved in the promotion, development, preservation and research of folk arts and handicrafts shall be eligible for organizational membership subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.

Any eminent person who is in any way involved in the promotion of folk arts and handicrafts and has been contributing to the objectives and activities of the Association in any way shall be eligible for life membership subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.

Any person who is involved in the development, preservation, improvement and research of folk arts and crafts or who can contribute to the objectives and activities of the Association shall be eligible for Associate Membership subject to the approval of the Board of Directors. Associate members shall not have any voting rights. However, they shall enjoy other privileges and facilities as may be decided by the Board of Directors from time to time.

Membership Benefits

  • Participation in Events and Activities: Members can  participate in various Events and Programs organized by the National Crafts Council including the Annual General Meeting, fairs, exhibitions etc.
  • International Awards & Validation: Members can submit products for the Award of Excellence (AoE) or The Seal of Craft Authenticity to gain international recognition for mastery.
  • Professional Networking: Being a member of the NCCB allows members to expand their professional network by connecting, and collaborating  with other individuals and organizations. 
  • Marketing, Promotion and Sales Opportunities: Through the Fairs and Exhibitions arranged by the NCCB, the members can participate in the programs that result in sales, marketing and market expansion. 
  • Recognition and Awards: Members of NCCB may be eligible for awards and recognitions.

সদস্যপদের যোগ্যতা

(ক) জন্মসূত্রে অথবা জাতীয়তাকরণের মাধ্যমে শুধুমাত্র বাংলাদেশের নাগরিকরা সদস্যপদের যোগ্য হবেন।

(খ) পরিচালনা পরিষদ সদস্যপদের দরখাস্ত আহ্বান করার একমাত্র কর্তৃপক্ষ।

(গ) কোন ব্যক্তি অথবা সংগঠন, প্রতিষ্ঠান অথবা সমিতির প্রতিনিধি যে পেশাদারভাবে অথবা অন্য কোনভাবে বাংলাদেশের লোক কারু ও হস্তশিল্পের উন্নতি, উন্নয়ন, সংরক্ষণ এবং গবেষণার সাথে সম্পৃক্ত।
(ঘ) একজন প্রার্থীকে শুধুমাত্র তখনই সদস্য বলে ধরা হবে যখন তিনি সদস্যপদের স্থায়ী কার্যনির্বাহী পরিষদের যাচাই–বাছাইয়ের মাধ্যমে পরিচালনা পরিষদ দ্বারা গৃহীত হবেন।

সদস্যদের বাৎসরিক চাঁদা

সকল সদস্য তালিকাভুক্তির সময় বাৎসরিক চাঁদা ছাড়াও ২৫ টাকা ভর্তি ফি প্রদান করবে।

  • একজন সদস্য : ২৫০/- টাকা প্রতি বছর
  • সাংগঠনিক সদস্য : ৬০০/- টাকা প্রতি বছর
  • চিরজীবন সদস্য : /- টাকা প্রতি বছর
  • সহযোগী সদস্য : ৬০০/-টাকা প্রতি বছর
  • সহযোগী সদস্য : ৫০০০/- টাকা (সাংগঠনিক) প্রতি বছর

সমিতির সদস্যপদের ধরণ

জন্মসূত্রে অথবা জাতীয়করণের মাধ্যমে যে কোন বাংলাদেশি যিনি পেশাগত অথবা অন্য কোনভাবে লোককলা ও হস্তশিল্পের উন্নতি, উন্নয়ন সংরক্ষণ, গবেষণার সাথে সম্পৃক্ত তিনি পরিচালনা পরিষদের অনুমোদনের শর্তসাপেক্ষে সদস্যপদের উপযুক্ত হবেন।

সেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠন, সমিতি অথবা প্রতিষ্ঠানের কোন প্রতিনিধি যিনি লোক কারু ও হস্তশিল্পের উন্নতি, উন্নয়ন, সংরক্ষণ ও গবেষণার সাথে সম্পৃক্ত তিনি পরিচালনা পরিষদের অনুমোদনের শর্তসাপেক্ষে সাংগঠনিক সদস্যপদের উপযুক্ত/যোগ্য হবেন।

কোন সুবিদিত ব্যক্তি যিনি কোন ভাবে লোককলা ও হস্তশিল্পের উন্নয়নের সাথে সম্পৃক্ত এবং যে কোন উপায়ে সমিতির লক্ষ্যে এবং কর্মকা–ে অবদান রেখে চলেছেন তিনি পরিচালনা পরিষদের অনুমোদনের শর্তসাপেক্ষে আজীবন সদস্যপদের যোগ্য হবেন।

লোক কারু এবং হস্তশিল্পের উন্নয়ন, সংরক্ষণ, উন্নতি এবং গবেষণার সাথে সম্পৃক্ত অথবা সমিতির লক্ষ্যে এবং কর্মকা–ে অবদান রাখতে পারেন তিনি পরিচালনা পরিষদের অনুমোদনের শর্তসপেক্ষে সহযোগী সদস্যপদের যোগ্য হবেন। সহযোগী সদস্যদের কোন ভোটাধিকার থাকবে না। কিন্তু, পরিচালনা পরিষদের সিদ্ধান্তের ভিত্তিতে তারা সময়ে সময়ে অন্যান্য সুযোগ সুবিধা ভোগ করবেন।

The National Crafts Council of Bangladesh (NCCB), also known as Bangladesh Jatiya Karushilpa Parishad, founded in 1985, is the apex organization dedicated to the promotion, research, and preservation of traditional crafts in Bangladesh.

Any Bangladeshi citizen involved in the promotion, practice, development, preservation, or research of folk arts and crafts may be eligible for membership, subject to approval by the Governing Council.

NCCB offers Individual Membership, Organizational/Institutional Membership, Life Membership, and Associate Membership.

Applicants can apply for membership when invited by the Governing Council. Applications are reviewed by the Standing Executive Committee and approved by the Governing Council.

The membership fee is determined by NCCB and may vary depending on the category of membership.

Members gain opportunities for networking, participation in fairs and exhibitions, marketing support, international recognition platforms, and eligibility for NCCB awards.

Executive Committee members are selected or elected according to NCCB’s governing rules from among its approved members.

১. ন্যাশনাল ক্রাফ্টস কাউন্সিল অব বাংলাদেশ (NCCB) কী?

ন্যাশনাল ক্রাফ্টস কাউন্সিল অব বাংলাদেশ (NCCB), বা বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় কারুশিল্প পরিষদ, দেশের ঐতিহ্যবাহী কারুশিল্পের উন্নয়ন, গবেষণা ও সংরক্ষণে কাজ করা একটি শীর্ষস্থানীয় সংগঠন। এটি ১৯৮৫ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়।

বাংলাদেশের যে কোনো নাগরিক, যারা লোকশিল্প ও হস্তশিল্পের উন্নয়ন, তৈরী, সংরক্ষণ, প্রচার বা গবেষণার সঙ্গে যুক্ত, তারা গভর্নিং কাউন্সিলের অনুমোদন সাপেক্ষে সদস্য হতে পারেন।

বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় কারুশিল্প পরিষদে চার রকমের সদস্যপদ রয়েছে-ব্যক্তিগত সদস্যপদ, প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক/সংগঠন সদস্যপদ, আজীবন সদস্যপদ এবং সহযোগী সদস্যপদ রয়েছে।

গভর্নিং কাউন্সিল সদস্যপদের জন্য আবেদন আহ্বান করে। আবেদন স্ট্যান্ডিং এক্সিকিউটিভ কমিটি যাচাই–বাছাই করে এবং গভর্নিং কাউন্সিলের অনুমোদনের মাধ্যমে সদস্যপদ প্রদান করা হয়।

সদস্যপদের বার্ষিক ফি সদস্যপদের ধরন অনুযায়ী নির্ধারিত হয়।

সদস্যরা পেশাগত নেটওয়ার্ক গড়ে তোলা, মেলা ও প্রদর্শনীতে অংশগ্রহণ, বিপণন ও প্রচারের সুযোগ এবং দেশি এন্ড আন্তর্জাতিক বিভিন্ন পুরস্কার ও স্বীকৃতির জন্য যোগ্যতা লাভ করেন।

 নির্বাহী কমিটির সদস্যরা সাধারণত সংগঠনের অনুমোদিত সদস্যদের মধ্য থেকে NCCB–এর নিয়ম অনুযায়ী নির্বাচন বা মনোনয়নের মাধ্যমে নির্বাচিত হন।
